On this project, we got the opportunity to do the automation, audio, video, security, and lighting for a full remodel of Hikes Point Christian Church’s youth area. We installed Control4 as our automation system to allow the youth pastor to control all the audio video, and lighting from his iPad. This allows him to create scenes for certain teaching segments that make the tv’s and music go off when it’s teaching time and sets a lighting mood that fits the topic he is teaching about. For the lighting, we created custom cloud panels that hang from the ceiling, serving as both an aesthetic ceiling design and sound dampeners, as the room before had echoing issues. In some, we embedded Wac can lights in the clouds for normal classroom lighting, we also embedded American Lighting’s full recessed RGB Linear lights in some for full color changing and mood lighting, and we installed speakers in some as well to create excellent sound dispersion throughout the area. In the Lounge area they have a retractable garage, so for the lighting we installed a suspended Pure Edge track lighting that allows them to put a variety of different fixtures in to custom light the area. We also installed more recessed linear lighting in the surrounding area for more mood lighting in that area. All of which can be controlled by the youth pastor from an easy-to-use app. This project showcases the complete customization we can offer to fit anyone’s needs.
